"We are not in the wrestling business, we are in the changing lives business" - Mike Joyce

Caveman

Caveman Wrestling was founded in 2007 by head coach Mike Joyce. A club from which started in Coach Joyce's garage, has since emerged as one of the most profound youth wrestling clubs in not only Florida, but the entire country.

During these 17 years as a club, Caveman has produced: over 200 state champs, hundreds of state placers, youth national champs/All-Americans, NCAA qualifiers, NCAA All-Americans, and even NCAA Champs.

Here at Caveman, we have 2 simple goals: to create the most elite youth wrestlers in the country & to help develop quality young men.

Phoenix

Florida Phoenix was originally founded by former Caveman member Lilly Luttrell. Founded in Fall of 2022, Florida Phoenix Wrestling became the first ever all girls wrestling club in the United States. In Spring of 2023, the club hired Daisy Santos as head coach.

Since being founded, Phoenix has hit the ground running. In its first year as a club, Phoenix had a plethora of state placers, and even got their first state champ. This past season Phoenix sent 13 girls to the state tournament, with 10 placing (all in the top 5) as well as 2 state finalists, and another state champ.

Phoenix is on track to become one of the most elite women's wrestling clubs in the entire country, while also developing quality young women.
